This event aims to stimulate further digitalization development and improve the entrepreneurship ecosystem and its alignment with the SDGs. The event sought to collect thoughts from CEOs of Indonesia's emerging tech companies and entrepreneurs, and saw presentations from the CEO of MDI Ventures, CBO of Binar Academy, and the UNDP Administrator. 21 CEOs/representative of youth-led tech-startups in Bali and 11 online participants joined this event.
The Youth for SDGs Summit 2022 aims to bring together young people and stakeholders to explore innovative ideas in recognizing youth’s contributions to tackle development challenges and inspire youth to continue driving change in their communities. The 2022 Summit covered topics such as gender equality, youth entrepreneurship, climate action, and action against violent extremism. 200 delegates across the country gathered and shared their ideas on addressing issues on SDGs, resulting in a joint communique from youths, by youths, and for youths.
The International Youth Day celebration on 18 August 2022 carried the theme of “Intergenerational Solidarity for Climate Crisis.” UNDP hosted an SDG Talks in collaboration with the UNDP Indonesia Communication team and the Stockholm+50 team in UNDP Indonesia.
