Impact Venture Accelerators

Since 2019, UNDP’s Impact Venture Accelerator programs have worked towards the development of early and growth stage startups in Indonesia into becoming profitable impact ventures focusing on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Impact Aim Indonesia: In partnership with 500 Startups, Bukalapak and Google Singapore, we worked to support 9 growth-stage startups who joined an intensive acceleration program where they focused on business scalability, growth strategies, fundraising, lean data management and impact measurement and management. The ventures then pitched to investors, partners and media during the Demo Day in Singapore.

She Disrupts Indonesia 2021: In collaboration with IWEF (Indonesia Women Empowerment Fund), YCAB Ventures, Moonshot Ventures, Creatella Impact, UN Women and Citibank; we organized a startup competition and two-week pre-acceleration programme for women-led early-stage social enterprises where they were trained in investment readiness, business model valuation, gender, impact measurement and tech venture building. Top 24 finalists were chosen to pitch to investors, panel of jury, colleagues, partners and media during the online Demo Day.

Blue Finance Accelerator: Together with Asian Development Bank and ASEAN Catalytic Green Finance Facility, UNDP aims to develop an accelerator programme focusing on blue sector, exploring themes such as plastic waste management, sustainable fisheries, aquaculture, mangrove and peatland conservation, as well as climate change mitigation. The accelerator programme will also focus on building government level capacity aligning with SMEs/Startup needs across Indonesia and to support government projects under the blue sector.
